The Palo Alto office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is seeking an Attorney Recruiting, Development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Attorney Recruiting Manager and the Attorney Development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager, this position coordinates and supports attorney recruiting, development and diversity, equity and inclusion functions in addition to overall department needs with special projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plans and implements training and professional development programs, often coordinating with New York Office Attorney Development and Training teams.
Coordinates various aspects of incoming and lateral orientations, including designing orientation schedule and conducting onboarding trainings.
Provides coordination and support with CLE administration, including monitoring attorney bar admissions, and continuing legal education compliance.
Tracks and monitors attorney leaves of absence.
Provides coordination and support for attorney evaluations, including inputting evaluations, compiling data in preparation for review meetings and ensuring timely completion of reviews.
Assists with coordinating and tracking mentor activities and expenses.
Coordinates various aspects of the attorney departure process.
Serves as a resource for attorneys in the Palo Alto office.
Provides coordination and support for all activities involved in law student hiring, campus outreach, and the summer associate program.
Coordinates various aspects of lateral and entry-level attorney recruiting.
Provides coordination and support with data-entry, applicant and expense tracking, departmental correspondence, and prepares statistical information for internal and external use as needed.
Interfaces regularly with law school placement offices, legal recruiting professionals, and internal firm attorneys and management.
Assists with on-campus diversity initiatives.
Provides support to the office diversity, equity and inclusion committee and affinity networks, including scheduling and event coordination.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; proficiency in talent management software (preferably LawCruit) a plus
Demonstrates the flexibility to occasionally travel and adjust hours to meet operating needs (including evenings and weekends, as needed)
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience, two of which were in a law firm or law school providing professional development, recruiting or diversity, equity and inclusion support.
