Position Summary:
The Professional Development Coordinator (CLE) is an integral member of our Professional Development team. Reporting to the Professional Development Manager responsible for firmwide CLE compliance and administration, this position will be a firmwide resource and will coordinate all aspects of the Greenberg Traurig CLE programming. This position is responsible for supporting the administration of the Firm’s accredited provider status for all CLE programs, as well as supporting the department in successfully executing its overall strategy. This position can be located in the Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Miami, and Phoenix offices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates GT’s CLE function: prepares and submits CLE applications (internal and client-facing) to multiple jurisdictions; tracks and verifies course attendance for CLE, prepares and distributes CLE certificates of attendance; reports attendance for CLE programming to multiple jurisdictions; manages and oversees the attorney CLE tracking database and eLibrary (Micron CE Manager); and data entry of third-party certificates
Serves as primary point of contact for internal and client-facing CLE programming
Monitors and responds to department emails and inbox for CLE related inquiries
Provides CLE programming guidance and responds to program requests and questions from GT attorneys, staff and clients
Maintains GT’s accredited CLE provider status through record-keeping and reporting in compliance with the rules of those jurisdictions and seek accredited provider status in other jurisdictions as appropriate for firm needs
Compiles CLE program summary reports for various state CLE boards on an annual basis for CLE compliance and accredited provider renewals
Stays up-to-date on CLE rule changes, trends and related developments in all relevant jurisdictions; communicates updates to the Professional Development Manager
Interprets and understands state CLE regulations
Develops effective working relationships with MCLE regulators in relevant jurisdictions
Regularly evaluates CLE procedures, processes, and workflows; recommends and executes changes as appropriate
Coordinates logistical details necessary for firmwide CLE training programs including practice group trainings, Professional Development initiatives and other firm sponsored training programs including Litigation Skills Academy and Associate Retreats
Tracks and analyzes CLE programming metrics; provides recommendations for improvement as needed
Supports Professional Development Manager, HRIS and General Counsel’s Office with process of maintaining and promoting the integrity of GT’s CLE tracking and compliance
Updates and maintains attorneys’ profiles, license information, and CLE records in Micron CE Manager
Monitors weekly new hire/termination reports from HRIS and update records accordingly
Runs monthly report to check compliance deadlines for attorneys licensed in jurisdictions where we track compliance and work with Regional Professional Development Managers to ensure CLE reporting notifications are being sent
Collaborates with Director of Professional Development and Professional Development Manager to effectively brand and promote the firm’s CLE initiatives
Works with Professional Development Manager to maintain and grow on-demand CLE eLibrary for GT attorneys and clients
Updates and maintains content related to CLE on firm intranet
Trains Professional Development team members on how to use Micron CE Manager, as needed
Educates lawyers and relevant staff on CLE rules, program accreditation requirements, and compliance requirements through various methods including guides, emails, and conversations
Supports developing, communicating and organizing training manuals and materials
Other projects as assigned by the Director of Professional Development and Professional Development Manager to support the Professional Development team
Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university required
Minimum 3+ years’ experience with a law firm, law school, bar association, or CLE provider strongly preferred
Knowledge of CLE rules and regulations in multiple jurisdictions strongly preferred
Proficiency with Micron CE Manager a plus
Proficiency in firm applications (Outlook, FileSite, Micron CE Manager, and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software (e.g. various state board internet-based application systems)
Willingness and ability to understand/learn general premise of state CLE rules and practices preferred
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
