Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President for Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunity, this position will be responsible for assisting with the universityâs affirmative action program; Equal Opportunity; Title IX compliance; compliance with non- discrimination laws and executive orders; and resolution of complaints of discrimination and harassment. Other responsibilities include drafting reports on equal opportunity, affirmative action, human rights, and anti-harassment. The incumbent is required to work collaboratively with University administrators, committees, faculty, staff, students, and external constituents in advancing equal opportunity, affirmative action, diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities include communicating ISU Extension and Outreach goals of equity and civil engagement, and promotion of Office of Equal Opportunity goals and mission in order to create awareness among the University community including Extension and Outreach, and their external partners of compliance with state and federal laws and regulations in all areas of the University. The successful candidate will possess excellent listening, written and oral communication skills to work with faculty, staff, students, attorneys, community leaders, vendors and outside auditors. The candidate must also have the ability to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines; resolve conflict; and have a record of integrity and good judgment.
