| Your Responsibilities Johnston is the preferred location for the position. Remote work arrangements, however, will be considered subject to an expectation to be at the Johnston, IA office periodically. As an Attorney for John Deere Financial located in Johnston, IA, you will provide research, legal counsel, recommendations, and alternatives for legal questions and issues in the General Practice Areas of consumer and commercial secured transactions and revolving credit, debt collection and related litigation, bankruptcy, banking, privacy, information security, and compliance management. In addition, you will: - Draft and negotiate documents including opinions, contracts, notices, agreements, registrations, and licenses.
- Manage all aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution with adverse parties to ensure favorable results are achieved.
- Develop and execute training on legal matters to groups of various sizes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with various General Practice Area legal requirements.
- Stay current on emerging trends in the law in the General Practice Areas through continuing legal education, reading, professional conferences, and participating in professional associations.
