Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks a second-, third-, or fourth-year natural resources and project development associate to join our firm. We are looking for a smart, energetic, enthusiastic, and versatile junior-level environmental candidate to join the largest environmental law firm in the country. The ideal candidate should have significant federal natural resources law and project development expertise, a clear interest in environmental law, a strong academic background, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should be enterprising and have a strong desire to become a leader in the field of environmental law. Candidates must have the following qualifications: -J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials; -Status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state jurisdiction and, for a position in the Austin, Baltimore, Boston, New York, or DC offices, ability to obtain licensure in the relevant state within 6 months of hire; -Demonstrated experience with the ESA, CWA Section 404 (wetlands), and NEPA. - Additional experience with other species protection laws (MBTA, BGEPA, MMPA, and/or CITES), NHPA experience, CWA 402 construction stormwater experience, CWA 401 experience, and complex project permitting experience, CWA 404 individual permitting program experience, and reviewing/drafting comments on NEPA documents experience; -Supplementary experience with administrative record litigation (drafting motions and briefs in APA cases), experience with upstream and midstream oil and gas projects, and experience with renewable energy projects; -Strong analytical, research, writing and oral communication skills: organized, detailed, work well under deadlines, creative thinker, multitasker, and the ability to assume significant client responsibilities; -College degree in biological or physical science/environmental studies is a plus; and -Located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
