Williams Mullen is seeking an ambitious Finance & Real Estate associate attorney with 2-5 years’ experience to join either our Norfolk, VA or Richmond, VA office. This is a great opportunity for an associate to seek a positive career trajectory, business development experience, enhance professional development skills, and develop significant responsibility and work with partners on all levels of client interaction. - Ideal candidates have experience in drafting commercial real estate, leasing and financing documents, and handling title, survey, entity and other real estate diligence matters.
- Additional experience in commercial lending and banking transactions, including commercial real estate loans, asset-based loans, or other secured credit facilities of varying types is a plus.
- Experience in affordable housing, low income housing tax credits, or historic tax credits is also preferred but not required.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters.
- Possess a drive for excellence and willingness to take initiative to solve problems.
- Strong writing credentials and excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
- Candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia, or have the ability to immediately waive into Virginia.
