Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a Powerhouse Denver based law firm with 250+ attorneys and policy professionals, is seeking a talented Information Security Analyst to work with our Information Security team in the following areas: Technical Security Compliance, Threat management and Operational Security efforts. This role is an integral part of the firm’s commitment to protecting our information, providing a secure and stable computing environment and maintaining our International Organization of Standardization (ISO) Certification. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Offer and will be an integral part of the security.
The Firm’s Information Security Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Suspicious Email Analysis – Responsible for responding to user and management requests regarding suspect emails, mitigating within the firm’s email defense systems, and alerting impacted users.
Endpoint Protection – Oversees, maintains and monitors the firms endpoint protection service and responds to detected threats. Privileged Access Management – Supporting, Administering, and Operating the Firm’s PAM solution. Collaborates with system owners in accordance with internal Firm policies and procedures.
Mobile Device Management Reporting – Responsible for reporting on device health of user mobile devices that connect to and utilize Brownstein network resources and data. Collaborate with end users to effectuate personal device patch management.
ISO System Audits – Responsible for auditing security controls for core ISO systems and reporting on findings and recommending mitigations.
Phishing and Social Engineering Program– Architect user security simulations for email-based threats based on emerging and ongoing security trends. Report on findings and recommend user follow up training.
Internal Penetration Testing – Architect internal penetration testing campaigns using internal Firm tools. Report on findings and recommend mitigations.
Emerging Security Trends – As the field of Information Security is dynamic by nature, this individual is expected to keep informed on emerging and annual security trends, recent publicly scrutinized security incidents, newly discovered zero-day vulnerabilities, security updates on major software suites, etc…
User Security Resource – Provide guidance and counsel regarding user security hygiene and best practices for protecting personal data. Advise on user security posture inquiries.

Familiarity with email spam filters and threat detection solutions,Privileged Access Management system principles,mobile two-factor authentication services,Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS operating systems, Microsoft Enterprise Security Suite (O365, Defender ATP, DLP, Azure Information Labelling, is preferred.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in any area of Information Technology
Minimum of 3-5 years hands-on information technology experience.
1+ years of applied information security experience in intrusion detection, mobile device management, endpoint protection and administration and use of information Security tools is desirable.
Use of advance threat detection tools, applications and open-source tools used for analyzing technological systems, environments and networks
Certificate in CISSP is highly preferred
Excellent writing and verbal skills
Professional demeanor who is analytical, strategic and articulate
Any combination of education or experience sufficient to satisfactorily demonstrate competence in this role (min. 5 years)
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering salary for this role, ranging from $75,000 - $90,000.
