Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the School of Law- Dean's Office. Reporting to the Clinical Professor of Law.
Rutgers Law School seeks an experienced bilingual Program Coordinator II l for a project providing immigration legal services to children in New Jersey's foster care system. This a grant funded position.
The Program Coordinator II duties include but are not limited to:
Acts as primary point of contact for initial inquiries for legal services and will organize, administer, and coordinate multiple facets of the Project.
Assists in many case-related activities including performing intake functions; prioritizing and assigning cases referred for intake; conducting initial fact gathering; research support activities, scheduling appointments; tracking cases and outcomes; and assisting attorneys with other case related tasks as needed.
Enters data into and maintains the case management system used by the Project and will assist in the creation of Project related materials and reports.
Maintains familiarity with court rules and legal processes and will serve as a liaison with other agencies and community organizations to develop and maintain a referral network for cases.
The position could be based at either the Camden or Newark locations of Rutgers Law School, however, travel to the other campus will be required.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1-3 years paralegal experience;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Driver's license and access to a car;
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Google Drive;
Familiarity with case management systems such as Clio;
Demonstrated time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment;
Must pass criminal background check to work with child clients.
Knowledge of immigration practice;
Experience working with children and families.
Valid driver's license and access to a car;
Windows Office Suite, including Excel;
Clio case management system.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Frequent and intensive phone calls and emailing required.
Periodic travel from Newark Campus to Camden Campus
