The Director of Marketing is responsible for the support of the daily activities of the Marketing Department of our client. This position is one of customer service to the lawyers of the firm in the development of firm clients. This position is also responsible for creating, generating, and distributing various reports and special projects as requested.
Overall responsibility for the firm's business plan as it relates to the lawyers and their business development plans including research, strategy, activities and targets.
Guide, counsel and direct the lawyers in developing the necessary skills to be successful in attracting and attaining new firm business.
Oversee firm web site, including tracking of use; updating material and publishing attorney articles
Manage social media presence (YouTube; Linkedin; Facebook; Twitter) and blogs
Monitor and track the hits on social media to determine audience and potential to develop business
Plan and implement various social programs for clients which includes various social engagements.
Work with the firm's senior management in developing strategies for increasing the firm’s market share of legal services.
Review, write and edit various firm client newsletters and blogs.
Responsible for the Marketing budget and oversight to assure proper adherence under policy.
Assist new attorneys to ensure a timely integration into the firm’s business development functions including directory listings, announcements and orientation.
Provide sponsorship and advertising recommendations.
Manage complex proposal process.
Develop practice group plans and lead practice group initiatives.
Provide one-on-one business development coaching.
Lead marketing training programs for lawyers.
Identify speaking and writing opportunities for attorneys.
Secure placement of articles, speaking engagements and opportunities.
Plan seminars, conferences and other firm sponsored events including CLE’s.
Education: Minimum Bachelors Degree in a related field is required.
Experience: At least 5 years of Marketing and Client development in a professional services environment is strongly preferred.
Skills: Ability to organize multiple assignments and work independently on varied projects. Excellent communication skills and able to work
effectively with all levels. Excellent computer skills necessary.
