King & Spalding, a leading global law firm, currently seeks a Coordinator of Lawyer Talent Development to join an innovative and growing team that leads the firm’s lawyer development initiatives globally. The Coordinator of Lawyer Talent Development will work primarily with the Director of Lawyer Talent Development and three Associate Directors of Lawyer Talent Development on firm-wide and practice group talent initiatives including formal training, onboarding/integration, compensation, and evaluation/promotion. The Coordinator will be part of the firm’s Lawyer Talent Department, which includes Professional Development, Diversity and Inclusion, and Recruiting, and will work collaboratively with lawyers and staff across the firm. Depending on a candidate’s experience, this position could be a Senior Coordinator role. For the right candidate, there will be ability to work remotely on a regular basis although this is not a full-time remote role.
This position can be based in any U.S. King & Spalding office, with preference given to Atlanta, New York, and Washington, D.C.

Candidates will have the following responsibilities:
Support development and execution of formal training at the firmwide and practice group levels, including working with Talent Team members and lawyers on course design, logistics (e.g., scheduling, CLE, presenter follow-up, room reservations / virtual format set-up, catering, and technical needs), and continuous improvement (e.g., ways to increase attendance)
Assist with onboarding and integration programs, providing specialized support for new hires and acting as a resource for firm policies, procedures, and contacts
Help manage Advance at K&S professional development resource use by associates and other lawyers, including tracking approvals and budgets and formally promoting use of resource
Support Develop K&S, the firm’s innovative career development advising program that pairs associates with more senior lawyers
Advance Career Connection, the firm’s in-house placement initiative, as well as alumni programs and resources (including updating in-house jobs database, scheduling events and drafting alumni communications)
Improve design and maintenance of materials such as course catalogs, intranet content and communications related to talent initiatives
Support the Associate Directors on execution of the compensation and evaluation processes for lawyers
Source and analyze data as needed for department operations, including department budget tracking, utilization data, attrition data, and other data needed for projects
Assist with special projects and achieving the overall goals of the department as different priorities arise

Candidates are highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite—including advance knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Candidates will have understanding of CLE rules as they affect accreditation. Candidates communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least two (2) years of experience in a talent development / recruiting role in a law firm or other professional services environment (although candidates with similar experience from other industries will be considered).
