Overview: The Director, Legal & Business Affairs will draft and negotiate a high volume and variety of agreements relating to the development, distribution and marketing of video games and other products; he/she will also lead privacy related matters for Sega of America, handle product and marketing compliance and clearance work, draft and negotiate merchandise licenses, and work with outside counsel to manage disputes and litigation, as needed. He/she will report to Senior Vice President, Head of Legal & Business Affairs.
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience as an attorney with a national or international law firm and/or in-house legal department (prior in-house experience strongly preferred); must have extensive experience drafting and negotiating a high volume of commercial agreements, intellectual property licenses, development and distribution agreements, and advertising, marketing and co-promotional agreements. Experience with and interest in privacy related legal matters is a major plus. Strong academic credentials with a J.D. from a leading law school.
