As a member of the firm’s Knowledge & Innovation department (“K&I”), the Practice Innovation Analyst helps further attorney efficiency and the delivery of client services by conceptualizing and designing solutions leveraging firm collaboration, document automation and machine learning platforms. The Practice Innovation Analyst works with vendors and key firm stakeholders, to support existing practice tools, further product development, and coordinates communication and marketing efforts in furtherance of adoption.
The Practice Innovation Analyst will be a hybrid technologist (employing low-code/document automation skills), project coordinator, change manger and innovation champion.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops strong expertise in K&I platforms, including client extranet, document automation, data analytics and machine learning tools, to enhance attorney workflows. Collaborates with K&I team, lawyers and clients to design innovative solutions in furtherance of the efficient practice of law.
Collaborates with team members and practice groups to assess needs and scope, plan and coordinate the execution of innovation projects aimed at furthering efficiency and collaboration with clients.
Coordinates installations, upgrades and troubleshooting efforts alongside third party legal technology vendors. Tracks product development roadmaps and suggests enhancements based on the needs of our lawyers and clients.
Thoroughly tests and evaluates new and existing solutions to ensure features and functions meet the needs of our lawyers and clients.
Coordinates new product pilots including the creation of training materials and test scripts.
Ensures compliance with ISO procedures and corresponding record keeping in connection with certifications and annual audits.
Excites and motivates lawyers regarding new technologies by evangelizing successes and opportunities to eliminate more routine work. To this end, develops effective written and oral communication styles using non-technical jargon.
Participates in departmental marketing and visibility initiatives as assigned.
Stays abreast of new technologies that could impact legal service delivery. Monitors and shares knowledge regarding ongoing legal industry practices related to emerging technologies, innovation trends and related information.
Assumes other departmental duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Requirements: Undergraduate degree. 2 years of experience in a role supporting practice technology solutions required.
Preferred: J.D. or other prior legal experience preferred.

Familiarity with user experience design.
Familiarity with ISO standards such as 27001 and 27017.
Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
WORK REQUIREMENTS: Online during normal business hours and available as necessary before or after designated working hours in order to meet the demands of the job and the needs of the firm.
