Consolidated Edison, Inc. has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for an Associate General Counsel - General Litigation to be located in New York, NY.
Position Overview: The Associate General Counsel - General Litigation will lead Con Edison’s General Litigation team of trial attorneys and professional staff, as well as supervise outside counsel, in handling numerous personal injury and property damage defense litigations, primarily in New York City and Westchester County courts. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Con Edison’s defense litigation in a full portfolio of cases involving construction, utility equipment, trip and fall incidents, motor vehicle accidents, fires, floods, and electrical malfunctions.

Experience: J.D. from an accredited law school. Active New York bar license, or the ability to waive in. At least ten (10) years of experience litigating tort cases in New York and a deep knowledge of the New York court system and litigation practice is necessary.
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
