Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an experienced associate to work with its International & Federal team within the Tax practice group in the Washington, DC office. We are looking to add a team member with experience structuring, negotiating, documenting and advising multinational clients on the tax considerations related to domestic and cross-border transactions.

We cultivate exceptional attorneys across all levels by providing them with the tools and experiences needed to build successful careers! Additionally, the associate will have extensive interaction with clients, and the opportunity to be part of a practice that provides advice to a broad range of Fortune 100 clients and multinational companies.

The ideal candidates will possess:

• 2-3 years of law firm experience or 4-6 years of accounting firm experience.
• Skills and knowledge related to a broad range of tax matters and international tax policy.
• Experience planning transactions—acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, restructurings and finance company arrangements—to achieve desired business objectives in the most tax-efficient manner.   
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Strong academic records and impressive communication abilities.
• Confidence, self-motivation, a team-player mindset, and the ability to assume responsibility for matters in an active practice.
