Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., a national law firm with a primary focus on health care and life sciences; employment, labor and workforce management; and litigation and business disputes, is seeking to hire a Professional Development Assistant.
This position will report to and support the Director of Practice Management, the Practice Manager, and the Attorney Development Manager. This position works in a hybrid model with in-office and remote work. The preferred location is New York City but we will consider candidates in one of the following cities - Washington, DC, Boston, Columbus, Chicago, Newark, Stamford, or Nashville.
This position will assist, on a national level, all aspects of the firm’s attorney professional development and practice management functions. The Professional Development Assistant will be required to fulfill the needs of the firm in a manner that is consistent with its vision and values.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of the Firm’s Mentor program.
Assist with all aspects of the Firm’s Pro Bono program.
Assist with all aspects of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program including: the tracking attorney CLE requirements including inputting attendance at CLE seminars and generating CLE certificates of attendance for attorneys; the maintenance and audit of CLE files and applying for individual program accreditation; the preparation of year-end CLE reports, accredited provider renewal applications and other mandatory CLE reports needed to maintain the firm’s accredited provider status.
Assist with all aspects of the attorney training program (EBG Academy), including scheduling, sending invitations, administering sign-in sheets and surveys, materials, and logistics including conference room facilities, catering, and technology.
Assist with registering attorneys for various webinars.
Assist with the creation, tracking, and updating of attorney training plans.
Assist with the execution and implementation the attorney evaluation process including assembling materials, meeting coordination, communication and other administrative needs.
Assist with new attorney orientation, onboarding, and integration.
Assist with the coordination of the summer program (including training, orientation, events, etc.).
Additional Duties
Assist with meeting scheduling and preparation.
Assist with processing invoices and expense tracking.
Assist as needed with execution of recruiting initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required.
A minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred, preferably in a law firm setting.
