WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Senior Attorney will provide legal advice and direction on complex matters to various clients, including state and federal government relations, government grant, finance, and external affairs staff. They will advise clients primarily on U.S. government relations, lobbying regulatory compliance, campaign finance compliance, and public policy advocacy activities. They will also ensure the Conservancy complies with its obligations to report and conduct lobbying and policy advocacy activities in accordance with U.S. and international laws. They will clearly articulate legal concepts and options to assigned programs and counsel clients in other programmatic work to assure compliance with domestic and international laws, particularly those that apply to public charities.
WHAT YOU BRING
Juris Doctorate or equivalent and license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
Five years relevant legal experience or at least 3 years relevant legal experience coupled with subject matter expertise in legal frameworks related to government relations.
Experience advising on laws related to public policy and government relations.
