A Senior Contract Specialist ensures that colleagues and clients receive responsive, diligent, and skilled contracting support for a wide variety of transactions and deals. In this role, you would impact client satisfaction and help Fiserv reach its financial targets by preparing, drafting, and negotiating transaction documents and contributing to a fast-paced contracting team. As a Senior Contract Specialist, you would gain product and company knowledge, as well as problem-solving skills. This role would give you the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of legal professionals, and the experience and exposure to grow personally and professionally.
You will provide meaningful contributions to the Issuer Solutions business unit of Fiserv by:
Preparing initial drafts of agreements based upon contracting standards and unique deal terms or requests
Reviewing client or vendor redlines/ comments/ issues and suggesting alternative language/ responses
Drafting language, often based upon contracting standards and clause banks
Maintaining form contract templates
Identifying and escalating potential risks
Working with client partners/sales executives to verify terms
Responding to contractual questions from clients (internal and external)
Providing contract interpretation to internal clients as needed
Acting as the point person for the collection of information, feedback and approvals from deal stakeholders (e.g. finance, operations, security, product, etc.) during the contracting process
Ensure final copies of agreements/documents are executed and stored properly
Providing input to supervising attorney regarding template content, negotiation strategy, and other relevant issues
Applying Fiserv standard legal and business positions in drafting and negotiation and, as applicable, participating in negotiations and business calls
Assisting with research projects
Basic qualifications for consideration:
3+ years of contract/legal experience, or relevant legal or business experience
Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
Strong computer proficiency with a variety of software applications, including MS-Office Suite and PDF software.
Ability to work on increasingly complex contracts
Bachelor's degree
Ability to travel 10%

Drafting experience
Experience working with contracts, including software licenses and SaaS agreements
