Position Overview:
Job Description: We are seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join the team. This position is within our corporate, in-house legal department supporting three attorneys and will report to the Senior Corporate Paralegal. An ideal candidate will be able to work independently while staying organized. This position performs a variety of paralegal work, such as drafting contracts and other legal documents, under the supervision of the Senior Corporate Paralegal and ensures accurate and timely review and execution of all due diligence, real estate closing and corporate compliance documents. Proofreading and editing abilities are necessary along with strong communication skills and solid knowledge of software solutions. Responsiveness is also important.
This is a full-time position with in-office, daily hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Partial remote work is an option.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Processing invoices, filing, scanning, and organizing documents
Preparing organizational documents, filing annual reports for various subsidiaries, drafting minutes, and maintaining minute books, as well as forming, registering, and maintaining LLCs
Preparing real estate transaction summaries, and assisting with preparation of real estate acquisition wire requests
Preparing real estate transaction closing documents and property management agreements
Ensuring accurate and timely review, execution and filing of all corporate compliance and governance documents
Managing all legal information and due diligence databases and assisting with maintaining a forms library
Miscellaneous administrative tasks for the Company’s tax department
Other projects and duties as required

Customer service approach to interacting with all levels within the organization
Ability to work well with management, vendors, and employees
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word / Excel / Visio)
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law or related field required; Paralegal certification preferred.
Experience in real estate/transactional and/or a corporate/legal environment is preferred
