PositionDescription
Purpose: Kelley Drye is seeking an organized, detailed-oriented self-starter to join Kelley Drye’s Human Resources team. The firm’s Attorney Engagement Administrator will work with the Managers of Professional Development, Legal Personnel and Recruiting along with the relevant firm committees on the development and implementation of engagement programs for Kelley Drye’s attorneys. This is a highly visible role that will have regular interaction with various attorneys and professionals around the firm.
This position can be located anywhere Kelley Drye has an office and hybrid work may be available
Essential Functions:
Integration
Collaborate with Recruiting to ensure seamless transition between hiring and the integration processes
Manage the integration program for lateral (non-partner) lawyers, including the integration planning process and monthly “touch points”
Facilitate the introduction of lateral hires to members of their office/team and firm leadership
Support the development and implementation of attorney integration and engagement programs and events
Communication
Spearhead communication initiative using Teams
gather, create and upload content to Teams site
actively manage Teams site to assure the Teams channels remain active and current.
Create and implement two-way communication channel to solicit lawyer feedback on Teams site
Maintain calendar of engagement events and programs
Creating a consistent “One Firm” attorney engagement experience
Mentoring
Administer an internal three-tiered mentoring program for junior associates and lateral attorneys
Coordinate mentoring relationships, initiatives, and events
Manage budget and expenses for mentor and integration programs
Other
Monitor attorneys’ entries in work assignment system and conduct follow up as necessary
Track participation in mentor, integration and other engagement programs
Manage and track work from home reimbursement program and work with finance department to process payments
Special projects as needed
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
BA/BS Degree
A minimum of 2 years of experience of related engagement, human resources, professional development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a law or professional services firm
Service-oriented demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a variety of people including senior professionals.
Excellent judgment, including sensitivity to confidential information.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy.
Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity and self-directed behavior; able to work individually as well as collaboratively as an active member of the HR team
Must have strong computer skills, MS Office Suite preferred, as well as web application and database experience. Experience with MS Teams is a plus.
Flexible and adaptable, willing to change direction and priorities to accommodate firm and department needs.
