The Chicago Professional Development Coordinator will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Prof Development, the East Coast Director of Prof Development, Learning and Development team members across the Firm, lawyers, and other staff members to coordinate and support training and professional development initiatives for lawyers in the Chicago office. The Coordinator will also monitor and support CLE compliance for Illinois-admitted lawyers across the Firm.
Assist in the coordination and design of lawyer training programs and professional development initiatives both locally and firmwide.
Take a leading role in planning and organizing local associate orientation for the Chicago office; collaborate with team members to ensure coordination and consistency across offices.
Create evaluation questions to measure key data points; solicit and analyze feedback and data for firmwide conferences, local and regional programs, and professional-development initiatives; prepare summary reports and recommend adjustments. Create and develop other internal reports and presentations as needed.
Use online tools, produce data reports and analyses as requested, and develop visuals for internal team and firmwide reports.
Track Illinois-admitted lawyers' CLE compliance using the Firm's CLE tracking system (Micron CE Manager); communicate with Illinois-admitted lawyers regarding their compliance status and help Illinois newly-admitted lawyers create individual action plans to achieve 100% compliance.
Identify Illinois-admitted lawyers at risk for non-compliance and provide status reports to the Sr. Manager of Prof Development (CH) and others as directed to help ensure 100% compliance for Illinois-admitted lawyers firmwide.
Collect, organize, and submit written materials and other program documentation to the CLE team in order to obtain CLE accreditation for Firm-sponsored educational programs.
Manage meeting and program logistics including recruiting presenters, scheduling, securing conference rooms, coordinating program set-up and materials, and trouble-shooting.
Coordinate AV and IT program needs, locally and nationally.
Maintain and update all lawyer training and professional development files and records in New York.
Work independently and within a team on ongoing and special non-recurring projects.
Create and develop visual presentations using desktop-publishing applications.
Schedule and attend planning meetings and conference calls among team members, participate in team meetings, and communicate continuously.
Proofread all work with attention to detail and accuracy, make all necessary changes, and perform other substantive and administrative duties as needed.

Education and/or Experience:
Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer
Experience coordinating lawyer training and/or professional development programs and initiatives
Large law firm experience
Project management and/or program design experience
Knowledge of CLE rules and procedures
Proficiency and aptitude with software applications and design tools for creating and formatting graphs, charts, and other visuals or the willingness and ability to learn
