Assertio Holdings, Inc. (“Assertio” or “the Company”) has exclusively retained Major, Lindsey & Africa to conduct a search for a Corporate Counsel to be located in Lake Forest, Illinois. Overview: Reporting directly to Assertio’s General Counsel, the Corporate Counsel will assist with: (a) contracting support for commercial and other life sciences agreements, including distribution agreements, co-pay agreements, managed care agreements, collaboration agreements, master services agreements, consulting agreements, licenses, supply agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and related amendments ; (b) advising and collaborating on issues with the commercial, regulatory, quality, and compliance functions; (c) providing judgment regarding the interpretation and application of relevant healthcare laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute; (d) managing corporate compliance with contracts; (e) oversight of the Company’s state-pharmaceutical licensing vendor; and (f) assisting with mergers and acquisitions due diligence.

Experience: 4+ years of large law firm experience (preferably working with public companies in the pharmaceutical industry), or commensurate in-house experience (preferably working for a life sciences company). The Corporate Counsel will have strong experience providing legal counsel on commercial contracts, corporate compliance, and expertise in negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, ambitious, and a go-getter who is eager to have a substantial role in advancing Assertio’s mission and business objectives.

Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission upon hire.

Location: Lake Forest, Illinois.

Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, and equity.
