Carlton Fields is seeking a Professional Development Manager to join the firm in either its Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, or Washington, DC office.

Professional Development Manager

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing all aspects of firm-wide professional development
• Collaborating with Director of Legal Talent Management in strategic planning for training programs
• Planning and managing Professional Development Training Programs
• Maintaining firm’s In-House / CLE Training Resources
• Managing Associate Compensation and Review Committee Process and quarterly-check-in’s
• Managing Practising Law Institute / PLI
• Managing Associate Mentoring Program
• Interfacing with attorneys at all-levels
• Overseeing the CLE application and award process within the firm’s jurisdictions
• Coordinating diversity endeavors
• Managing various administrative and departmental duties

Qualified candidates must have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of professional experience in law firm professional development or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficiency in legal performance management databases (viDesktop or Lawcruit)
• Demonstrated organizational, time management, and management skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of attorneys, staff, and external clientele
• Exercises discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Ability to work well under pressure and complete tasks in an accurate and timely fashion
