Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks an experienced attorney to join its highly ranked nationally recognized Environmental Law practice group as a non-partnership track Senior Attorney in our Richmond office. An attorney in this position will be benefits eligible and will generally have an expected billable hour goal of between 1200-1800 hours. Qualified applicants will have at least eight years of experience with environmental and natural resource issues in the context of compliance counseling, obtaining permits and other regulatory authorizations, agency rulemaking, enforcement defense, or litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical regulation, waste and wastewater management, and/or contaminated site remediation. The environmental team prides itself in forming diverse teams with a wide array of personal and professional attributes. We value collaboration and a team-based approach. The successful applicant will get to work on precedent setting legal matters with a team that values direct client contact, mentoring and training. As a member of the environmental team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on interesting, long-term projects with established clients. A successful candidate is dedicated to the practice of environmental law, has self-motivation, strong intellectual curiosity, good judgment, responsiveness, perseverance, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
