Schedule: PRN
Shift: Per Diem, Must be available for at least 4 shifts per month
Location: Arden, North Carolina
The role you’ll contribute:
APRN's are individuals licensed and trained to care for and treat patients within the scope of their licensure under the supervision of a collaborating physician. They are essential in the facilitating of patient flow and may only give orders as specifically directed by the collaborating physician. Failure to follow the physician's directives will be grounds for termination. Able to care for patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric. Scope of service includes but is not limited to, urgent care, family medicine/primary care and occupational health.

The following measures may be initiated by the APRN:
Diagnosis and treatment of work related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses within the APRN scope of practice. Monitor course of treatment and refers to other health care providers as necessary. Coordination of care/case management as indicated, including collaboration with medical consultants and other health care/rehabilitation providers, attorneys, the employee's supervisor, and the employee.
Fitness for duty evaluation and screening including modified duty and appropriate restrictions as warranted by evaluation, unable to work and return to work.
Conditions which therapy may be initiated by the APRN:
Musculoskeletal: Strains and sprains, sciatica, inflammation, effusions, non-displaced fractures, contusions or other conditions which the APRN has been educated to treat.
Dermatologic conditions: Dermatitis, fungal or bacterial infections, puncture wounds, lacerations, abrasions, burns including first and second degree and other conditions which the APRN has been educated to treat.
Infectious disease: Prevention, monitoring and treatment of infections which the APRN has been educated to treat.
Conjunctivitis, corneal abrasion, non-imbedded foreign bodies of the eye.
Any other minor or chronic problem or illness which the APRN has been educated to treat.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Successfully completed a recognized professional nursing program, passed State Boards and achieved Registered Nurse status.
Bachelor of Science degree program in nursing
Successfully completed postgraduate training in a clinical specialty area and holds a master's degree
Holds Current license from the State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation
Provides a copy of privileges he/she is permitted by licensure and maintains eligibility to participate in the Medicare/Medicaid Program(s)
Provides documentation of liability insurance
When applicable, maintains a prescriptive authority (prescribing license) issued by Board of Medicine
Provides proof of proficiency in BLS
