Nixon Peabody is seeking to hire a commercial litigation associate to join our office in Providence, RI. The position is in our Construction and Real Estate Litigation practice group. The successful candidate will work on matters in that practice group as well as commercial litigation generally.
More than a third of Nixon Peabody’s lawyers are litigators. We have decades of experience representing clients at every level of the trial and appellate courts in our judicial system, in international forums, and mediations, arbitrations, and other methods of alternative dispute resolution.

Qualified candidates will have at least two to five years of commercial litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, researching and drafting pleadings. Hearing and some trial experience is required. Ability to work in a fast paced client-centric environment with a varied caseload involving complex issues is critical. Rhode Island State and Federal Bar admission required. Massachusetts and/or Connecticut State Bar admission is desirable. Judicial Clerkship, Internship, or similar experience is preferred.
