SUMMARY
Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates ongoing and special project funding programs for the School by performing the following duties in collaboration with staff members and/or volunteers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares planned activities and enlists support from members of administration, faculty, staff, trustee committees and Clairbourn Families Association (CFA).
Develops fundraising materials to support the school’s goals and promote its fundraising programs.
Identifies potential contributors to special project funds and supporters of the school’s ongoing operations through examination of past records, individual and corporate contacts, and knowledge of the community.
Plans and coordinates the Annual Fund drive and other campaigns for special projects
Prepares for and plans major milestone events for the school (Centennial Celebration, etc.).
Assigns responsibilities for personal solicitation to members of the staff, the CFA, and the trustees according to special interests, contacts, knowledge or capabilities.
Organizes campaigns to reach other potential contributors.
Plans and coordinates the overall design of the annual Clairbourn Benefit in close contact with the CFA Benefit Chairperson.
Organizes solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the various endowment funds.
Informs potential contributors of special needs of the institution, and encourages individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, donations of gifts-in-kind, or bequests, conferring with accountant and/or attorneys to establish methods of transferring funds to benefit both donors and the school.
Researches public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify other sources of funding for research, community service, or other projects.
Maintains records of contributors and grants and prepares letters of appreciation and tax receipts to be sent to contributors.
Oversees the implementation of the yearly report on giving to all constituencies
Provides statistical information for the annual state and national surveys.
Organizes Alumni Events and communications.
Facilitates continuing connections with alumni.
