As a Barclays Legal Counsel - VP, you will be part of a team that works directly with the business and functional partners to provide legal advice and support credit card, consumer loans, savings products and additional banking products as the bank grows and expands. You will Interpret existing laws, rules and regulations to provide guidance to the business and advise on proposed changes to laws, rules and regulations. Assist in the launch of new cobranded credit card programs and bank initiatives.

What will you be doing? ??? Reviewing marketing materials for credit card, consumer loans and savings products to ensure compliance with law and regulation
??? Reviewing of consumer disclosures
??? Actively ensuring Policy and procedure review
??? Providing guidance and legal support on the development and implementation of new products and services
??? Providing legal support for current and enhanced practices for various functions (Fraud prevention, Identity theft, credit bureau reporting, collections and customer experience)
??? Providing guidance and legal support for Third party and vendor contracts
??? Drafting and negotiating cobrand credit card program and agreements
??? Having significant experience in federal and state consumer credit laws and regulations
What we're looking for: ??? A Juris Doctor degree
??? A license in good standing to practice law in at least one state
??? Relevant legal experience in financial services
??? Excellent relationship building and communication skills
Skills that will help you in the role: ??? Experience working in Consumer lending / Credit Card experience preferred
??? Bilingual in Spanish
??? Five+ years of relevant legal experience in financial services
