Position Summary:
The Professional Development (PD) Coordinator is a highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to coordinate professional development initiatives, ensuring they are done in a professional manner and that service delivered is of the highest quality. The PD Coordinator is a member of the Professional Development team and reports to a Professional Development Manager. This position can be based in the New York City, Westchester, or Long Island office with a hybrid of remote and in-office work for training programs and other programs as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The PD Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the PD Director/Managers in delivering firmwide, practice-specific and local office training, including large-scale programs, skills-based workshops, and individual training classes. This includes the following:
Managing program logistics, including scheduling, registration, and materials, and on-site logistics, including conference room facilities, catering, and technology
Serving as a point of contact for internal presenters and outside consultants and vendors
Ensuring compliance with CLE procedures for CLE-eligible programs
Providing on-site support for training programs
Drafting and distributing program invitations, communications, and materials
Reviewing and extracting attendance reports and recording attendance
Sending course evaluations and compiling results
Participate in PD department “speed teams” that work on special projects
Work collaboratively with the PD Managers to coordinate and implement training programs, including large-scale PD programs and skills-based workshops
Assist with procedures for CLE-eligible programs including gaining a working understanding of regional CLE rules
Evaluate and recommend process improvements for department efficiency
Assist with regional associate orientation and integration
Build rapport with associates
Support additional initiatives, programs, and communications that promote attorney development
Provide general back-up support to the PD team (Director, Managers and Coordinators)
Assist with special projects and collaborate with other firm departments as needed
Assume other responsibilities as needed to support the Professional Development team

Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a focus on adult learning or equivalent professional development experience, preferably with a law firm or other fast-paced professional services organization preferred
1-3 years of relevant experience; law firm professional development preferred
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly; proven competency in software applications and technical skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Background in Adobe, SurveyMonkey, Saba, Micron CE Manager, Zoom, and GoToWebinar (or other similar tools) preferred
Flexibility for overtime and firm travel when necessary
