Position: The Senior Counsel - International will have a diverse portfolio of responsibilities supporting all aspects of the development and ongoing operation of the Company’s franchised and company-owned businesses. This attorney will interact at all levels of the Company, both in the corporate headquarters and the field. The right candidate will be a broad-based transactional generalist with extensive experience supporting all aspects of the development and operation of businesses both domestically and abroad (with significant experience supporting the development and ongoing operation of US businesses expanding overseas, whether through wholly-owned subsidiaries, joint ventures or management, franchise, license or other similar business structures).
Experience: The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of legal experience gained in a law firm and in-house environment representing sophisticated, global businesses. This attorney will also have experience managing various kinds of transactional matters. In-house experience is strongly preferred.
Location: While this is a national search and relocation will be provided as being in Ann Arbor is preferred, the opportunity to work on a remote basis with periodic travel to Ann Arbor and elsewhere might be available to a highly qualified candidate. This is a national search.
Bar: Licensed to practice in Michigan or admitted to a State Bar of any US State or the District of Columbia (and able to be admitted to the Michigan Bar within twelve (12) months following the commencement of the position, assuming relocation).
