Overview: Icosavax is seeking a Director and Associate General Counsel – IP Licensing and Transactions to provide strategic IP licensing and transactional advice to internal clients; draft and negotiate license, collaboration and other transactional agreements, and assist in managing Icosavax’s IP portfolio. The successful candidate will advise and partner with business development, non-clinical, manufacturing, and other internal teams to support the company’s business development function and assist in the strategic management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio. The Director and Associate General Counsel – IP Licensing and Transactions will be solution-oriented, self-motivated, independent, persuasive, and constructive, and will use excellent judgment, business acumen, and technical skill to resolve complex issues and advance corporate objectives. This role reports to the General Counsel.
Company: Icosavax, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICVX) is a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company leveraging its innovative VLP platform technology to develop vaccines against infectious diseases, with an initial focus on life-threatening respiratory diseases.
Experience: 12+ total years of experience practice law, with at least 7+ years of legal experience in life sciences, and 5+ years transactional experience primarily drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements. Some experience practicing IP law preferred.
Location: Remote. Greater Seattle area preferred.
Compensation: Competitive package commensurate with experience includes base salary, target bonus, and equity component.
Bar Admission: JD and admission to practice law in at least one state required, admission in WA strongly preferred. USPTO (or foreign equivalent) registered patent attorney a plus.
