Overview: Clorox seeks a collaborative, highly skilled, mission-driven Director of Legal to support all aspects of corporate governance matters within the company. Reporting directly to the VP, Corporate Secretary and Associate General Counsel, this role will work closely with senior management and Board members, and will manage a small, high performing team of attorneys and legal professionals. This role will work cross-functionally with the team on all ESG matters including engagement and disclosure.

Experience: 10+ years of experience as a corporate attorney with significant experience in public company governance matters including working directly with board members and committees, and handling documentation related to corporate governance. Both law firm and in-house experience is preferred, as is management experience.

Clorox uses broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, and provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. For this role, in the Bay Area, the annual base compensation is expected to be between $167,500.00 - $345,100.00, there will be a bonus of 25%, and there is an equity component as well.

Location: Oakland, CA. Clorox currently operates under a hybrid / remote working model, requiring 3 days / week in the office.
Relocation: This is a national search, but local candidates are strongly preferred.
Bar: Candidate must be a member of the California State Bar or otherwise qualified to practice law in California as registered in-house counsel.
