PARALEGAL, Office of the General Counsel (OGC), to provide legal and project-management support to OGC's transactional attorney team and the office of Risk Management and Compliance Services' (RMCS) Institute compliance officer. Will develop and maintain excellent relationships and deal effectively with staff and leadership at all levels of MIT, clients, the public, and other contacts. Responsibilities include drafting, revising, and managing nondisclosure (NDA) and other agreements; managing contracts process for non-sponsored research consortia; preparing memorandum of understanding (MOU) for educational programming; facilitating management of the Protection of Minors Program; processing right to access and deletion requests; overseeing personal data collection database; reviewing contracts for compliance with MIT policies; assisting with compliance/corporate reporting and bankruptcy and class action filings; overseeing repository of forms and agreements and developing template/training documents; performing legal and general research; managing multiple websites and email distributions; triaging incoming email requests; drafting/editing/finalizing documents and reports; organizing/managing records; and performing other office-wide duties as assigned.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least five years' law firm or in-house legal office experience; tact and good judgment when handling confidential/sensitive information; writing, editing, and proofreading proficiency; and proficiency with Adobe, MS Office, and Westlaw. Must be able to work collaboratively; anticipate and meet strict deadlines; complete projects independently; organize, prioritize, and execute work with minimal supervision; and manage a high volume of work with efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Salary: $82,500+ depending upon experience
