The Cass County Attorney's Office is currently accepting applications for a full time Deputy County Attorney. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in and in good standing with the State of Nebraska. Responsibilities will vary depending on experience. A candidate may be assigned to serve in either the civil or criminal divisions or both. Emphasis is being placed on handling civil matters within the office, but maintaining a limited criminal caseload is also expected. We are located just south of the Omaha metro area across the Platte River. Deputies are not required to reside in Cass County. Military friendly. About Cass County Attorney's Office
Office of the Cass County Attorney is an office located within one of the faster growing counties in the state (currently the 12th largest county in Nebraska). The office consists of 5 attorney opportunities and 7 administrative staff positions. Employees are from Cass, Sarpy and Douglas Counties and you do not need to live in the county to serve in our office. We handle all criminal prosecutions and a host of civil responsibilities for the County including serving as the county coroner, reviewing inheritance tax matters, serving as legal counsel for the Board of Commissioners and other county officials/offices, and more.
