In this new position for the firm, you will provide career development strategies and support that drive high-performance and enrich the employee experience. You will coach associates, consulting professionals and counsel on navigating their careers. You will gain a deep understanding of the business and advise Practice Group Leaders and partners in managing their talent. You will report to the Managing Director of Professional Development, and this is a hybrid role.
What you will do:
Coach individual attorneys and consultants on peak performance, career planning, leadership and soft skills, engagement, wellness/stress-management, etc. to help them thrive.
Serve as a strategic trusted advisor to Practice Group Leaders and partners in actively and effectively leading and managing their talent. Provide guidance as they regularly, review, analyze and manage the associate pipeline.
Facilitate active management of performance promoting real-time feedback as a best practice and ensuring the firm’s commitment to DEI. Track that individual attorney development plans are being actioned and attorneys are acquiring the needed skills and experiences.
In collaboration with Practice Group leadership, manage the partner promotion process for within assigned practice groups.
Partner with Professional Development colleagues and Practice Group Directors to facilitate robust, successful onboarding and integration experiences for newly hired associates and counsel.
Collaborate closely with Professional Development and Learning & Development colleagues to identify, create and implement training that enhances the growth of our attorneys and addresses developmental needs. May participate in the design and delivery of training workshops.

What is needed:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
Master’s Degree or JD preferred
Coaching certification required preferably through an ICF program
Eight years of relevant talent development experience with coaching responsibilities preferably in a law firm or professional services organization
Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to earn credibility and influence others
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
