Position Summary:
The Charles B. Sears Law Library at the University at Buffalo seeks a collaborative, dynamic, and service-oriented individual to serve as our Law Practice Technologist. The Law Practice Technologist will be responsible for integrating Law Library services and instructional programming related to law practice technology into the School of Law's initiatives focused on preparing students for the modern practice of law.
As the Law Practice Technologist, your primary duties will include:
Planning, designing, and launching the Law Library's Legal Technology Center.
Administering and overseeing the daily operations of the Legal Technology Center, which includes creating and enforcing policies, setting priorities for the Center, and promoting and managing the use of the Center by the School of Law, the University community, and external constituents.
Creating an overall strategic vision to successfully incorporate the Legal Technology Center into the educational mission of the School of Law.
Promoting and coordinating technology competency training for the School of Law so that graduates enter the job market meeting an attorney's ethical obligation under New York Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 1.1 (Comment 8) to be aware of the
