The City of Rochester’s Law Department is seeking three (3) experienced attorneys to fill open Municipal Attorney positions. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in one (1) of the following practice areas:
Real Estate, including land sales, easements, leases, licenses; affordable housing development; eminent domain proceedings; real property tax law and tax foreclosure proceedings; commercial lending, including tax credit financing; payment in lieu of tax agreements;
Land use, including zoning and planning board representation and related litigation;
Litigation, including defense of bodily injury cases, Section 1983 civil rights claims, contract disputes, and administrative law matters.
Candidates must have a J.D., be admitted to practice in New York State, and have at least five (5) year of practice experience.
