Overview: The HCSC Legal Division seeks a seasoned leader with deep substantive legal experience to serve as Vice President, Government Programs Counsel, reporting to the SVP, Chief Legal Officer. The role will be responsible for providing leadership and support to a legal team with deep knowledge of federal healthcare and pharmacy programs, as well as serving as advisor and counsel directly to senior business leaders on all matters relating to applicable laws, regulations, and business arrangements. The ideal candidate will provide actionable legal advice on health plan operations, governmental audits, compliance, contracts, and strategic partnerships, and serve as a partner to HCSC’s business leaders in developing adaptive strategies to continue to grow HCSC’s government programs business and advance its mission.

Experience: At least 10 years of corporate legal department and/or law firm experience, with a material career focus on government healthcare programs generally, and specifically including Medicare Advantage and managed care, with experience in group Medicare a plus. Management experience is strongly preferred.
