Position: The Office of the Vice President and General Counsel (“OGC”) at the University of Michigan (University or U-M) is conducting a search for an experienced health care regulatory attorney to serve as an Associate General Counsel. The successful candidate will provide counsel and support to the University’s fully integrated academic medical center (“Michigan Medicine”), its state-wide clinical enterprise, (“University of Michigan Health”), and periodically will advise the University’s other schools, colleges, and administrative areas on health care regulatory matters. The successful candidate must be able to work independently on a wide range of complex and novel issues, with a particular focus on regulatory matters. The role will be tailored to the unique qualifications and experiences of the selected candidate as those talents relate to client needs and other OGC team members’ areas of expertise and workloads. This attorney will be based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The OGC team currently works a hybrid model with three days a week in the office

Experience: At least five (5) years of experience providing legal advice on healthcare regulatory matters. Law firm experience is preferred. Experience working on issues related to an academic medical center is a plus.
