Job Description:
At Regions, the Subpoena Processing Specialist processes incoming subpoenas, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) summonses, and other related requests for bank documents.
Primary Responsibilities
Processes incoming subpoenas, IRS summonses and other related requests for bank documents
Analyzes and interprets requests to identify and produce responsive documents
Applies established practices and policies throughout the course of processing
Escalates non-routine matters and complies with established Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering standards
Works closely with internal personnel to locate responsive documents
Works closely with outside entities, i.e., law enforcement, attorneys, etc., to compile response
Maintains and updates case management database and files
Prepares appropriate responsive correspondence and business record affidavits
Invoices for costs associated with production where appropriate
Focuses on daily deliverables of routine and defined outputs under direct supervision
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
Associates degree
One (1) year of experience in legal or related field
Preferences
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of banking systems, i.e., Mainframe, Webview, etc.
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational skills
Ability to negotiate and influence others
Ability to analyze and evaluate facts
Strong computer/typing skills
Ability to manage heavy workload
