The University of Nebraska College of Law is seeking a diverse pool of candidates to apply for a non-tenure track faculty appointment at the rank of lecturer for the 2023-24 academic year. Successful candidates will co-teach a section of Negotiations in either the fall semester, the spring semester, or both, depending on the candidate's availability.
Specific Teaching Duties:
Co-teach a weekly substantive class on various topics related to negotiation.
Review and provide critique on weekly assignments, both oral and written.
Work with a co-teacher to plan and teach the course, lead small groups of students through active exercises, evaluate the students' work throughout the semester, and provide a final grade for each student.
Other duties as needed to successfully teach the course.
Approximate Allocation of Responsibilities:
Preparing for and providing class instruction throughout the course – 75%.
Reviewing and evaluating student work, providing feedback, and deciding on a final grade for each student – 25%.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or its foreign equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years of post J.D. experience that includes substantial experience utilizing negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience.
Extensive experience as an attorney engaging in negotiations in either the litigation or transactional legal context.
Substantive background and/or training with various techniques, substantive doctrine, and theoretical approaches related to negotiation.
