Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students in the Office of Student Conduct, the Assistant Director of Student Conduct management and administrative support in handling confidential and sensitive student conduct matters. The position maintains the confidential office database and corresponding paper files of over 30,000 records and related transactions; processes and tracks local police and University Police Incident Report; and responds to requests for information by parents, students, staff, attorneys, and faculty with respect to confidential matters in accordance with University policy and the Family Rights and Privacy Act of 1974—Buckley Amendment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working in student conduct or residence life and managing and analyzing data, and a commitment to successfully collaborating with campus constituents to support student success and inclusion, equity, and diversity.
Responsibilities Include:
Serve as the primary authority for issuing violations of the Student Code of Conduct
Develop policies and protocols to support the learning outcomes for students
Assist with updates to the student conduct database
Schedule and facilitate University Board and Administrative Hearings
Record and ensure compliance for reportable cases as a Clery Campus Security Advisor
Review and analyze emerging trends in case law affecting higher education policy
Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Student Conduct in the management of case distribution and hearing protocols
Prepare and analyze assessment activities reports
Represent the Office of Student Conduct on committees and task forces as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in business, policy, healthcare, law, or a related field
Three (3) years of experience in higher education support
Experience working with Microsoft Excel or databases
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data analytics
Demonstrated knowledge of Maxient or other student conduct software
Experience working in residence life or student conduct
Customer service experience
Special Instructions
This position works primarily on campus but please ask about opportunities to work from home and alternate work schedules.
This position can be up to 20% remote.
