Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Attorney, Global Trade Compliance for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel to the Deere organization on global trade compliance matters, includingsanctions, export controls, customs/import, and antiboycott matters.
Provide legal and regulatory guidance on the following types of export-related issues: sanctioned party screening, export classification (e.g. ECCN) and licensing, deemed exports, embargoed countries, and other economic sanctions.
Provide legal and regulatory guidance on the following types of import-related issues: valuation, classification, country of origin, free trade agreements, country-specific tariffs, and antidumping/countervailing duties.
Provide legal support for trade compliance aspects of mergers and acquisitions, contract language, and policies/procedures.

What Skills You Need
5 or more years of experience practicing primarily in the area of global trade compliance in a private law firm or corporate law department, directly advising companies on sanctions and export controls
Ability to travel up to 15%
