Responsible for the overall management of the trust department, the primary duties of the Trust Officer include:
Plan, direct, and coordinate the bank's trust programs including Estates, Personal Trusts, Conservatorships, Farm Management, IRAs, Qualified Retirement Plans, etc. as established by the governing instrument, bank policies and procedures or legal constraints.
Serve as a liaison between the Bank and Principals, Beneficiaries, Heirs, etc. Oversee communication between the Bank and all parties involved.
Plan, conduct and record quarterly Board of Directors Trust Committee meetings.
Build and maintain strong positive relationships with new and existing customers, agents, vendors and institutions.
Responsible for managing direct staff.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or legal studies. Five or more years of experience in trust management or active law practice required. Juris Doctor/Attorney licensure, Certified Public Account licensure, Certified Financial Planner or Certified Trust or Financial designated required. One or more years of managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
