The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is responsible for addressing legal issues arising out of the activities of Stanford University, Stanford Health Care and Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. The Department of Public Safety (DPS), a division of OGC, exists to provide a safe, secure atmosphere which is conducive to freedom of expression and movement, within the constraints of the Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances.
