The Un-carrier seeks a highly motivated, hardworking attorney to join its privacy team.
The Corporate Counsel, Emerging Data Use Privacy will provide legal guidance provide strategic support to the business. A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with experts across the legal department and strategic business partners to provide practical, strategic legal guidance and design, and implement creative, simple solutions to address complex challenges.
What you’ll do in your role.
Advise on privacy considerations for emerging data uses at T-Mobile, including new data-driven products and services.
Guide privacy impact assessments and similar analyses of existing and proposed products, services, systems, and processes
Analyze potentially impactful legislation and regulations and provide subject matter expertise to T-Mobile’s Government Affairs team.
Draft internal and public-facing policies, disclosures, and other documentation.
Provide privacy trainings and help drive privacy awareness, compliance, and governance, including through the preparation of written and oral communications and presentation materials.
Propel other department and team initiatives as assigned.
The experience you’ll bring.
3+ years as an in house, top law firm, or government attorney with relevant experience, including:
JD from an ABA-accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials
Current bar membership (in good standing) in at least one U.S. state
Experience with privacy preferred; strong privacy interest required.
Demonstrated ability to advise on complex, high-impact matters and navigate ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to establish self as subject matter expert in specialty field(s)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to interact with a range of personalities and roles across the business with executive maturity.
Ability to navigate a complex organization with a focus on delivering results efficiently.
Keen, pragmatic business sense and good judgment
Ability to operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
