The Un-carrier seeks a highly motivated, hardworking attorney to join its privacy team.
The Corporate Counsel, Privacy will assist the Managing Corporate Counsel, Privacy with overseeing and advising the T-Mobile Advertising Solutions business line. A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with experts across the legal department and strategic business partners to provide practical, strategic legal guidance and design and implement creative, simple solutions to address complex challenges.
What you’ll do in your role…
Act as the privacy subject matter expert for advertising
Work cross-functionally to provide legal counsel on the implementation of privacy requirements.
Provide guidance to the advertising team on contract terms as they related to privacy.
Advise clients on legal and business issues related to federal and state privacy laws.
Deliver simple, easy-to-understand written and oral legal guidance.
The qualifications and experience you’ll bring…
3+ years as an attorney with in-house, law firm, or government agency
Ability to lead and collaborate on cross-functional, dynamic projects with little supervision.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
A U.S. law degree and admission to at least one state bar
Experience that is not required but also a plus…
At least one privacy certification such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, FIP, or CISSP
Familiarity with privacy laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA
Technical acumen to advise on complex technology questions.
Experience with privacy-protective technologies like hashing, de-identification, clean rooms, etc.
Familiarity with the AdTech industry
• At least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States
