Overview:LRE is currently seeking a transactional attorney to provide legal support, guidance, and advice on a variety of real estate, permitting and other legal issues associated with the development, construction, and commercialization of the company’s renewable energy projects. The position provides the perfect opportunity for a professional looking to expand his or her experience by joining a dynamic team in a rapidly growing organization. The successful candidate will work with all levels of the organization and will directly contribute to the company’s success.
Experience: The successful candidate will have a JD with a strong academic background and will be active and in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar (Texas or New York preferred). A total of 2-4 years of experience is required, with 1-4 years of experience in real estate, permitting and/or project development preferred; renewable energy experience is a plus. Familiarity with drafting land control documents and/or reviewing title and surveys. Ability to be flexible and tackle various new tasks and projects, work well with legal team members and other internal stakeholders, assess legal risk, think strategically, and provide practical, sound business recommendations. Self-starter who seeks challenging and demanding work and is results oriented. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Training with a top-tier law firm is preferred.
Location/Relocation: Dallas, Texas is highly preferred; Houston, Texas location will be considered.
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience consisting of base salary and annual cash bonus.
