The Specialist, Lateral Partner Recruiting and Integration will work with the Strategic Growth team and the Global Director (“Team”) on the development and implementation of strategic growth initiatives related to lateral partner recruitment and integration, particularly by: (i) independently conducting detailed research and analysis of data to identify prospective targets; and (ii) utilizing and updating the lateral partner databases, and organizing, tracking, and reporting related information. The candidate must be able to exercise independent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support the identification of potential lateral partner hiring needs and candidates by independently: (i) conducting detailed research using available databases as well as relationship management tools; and (ii) analyzing and summarizing the resulting data.
Develop and update candidate profiles.
Independently analyze, synthesize, and summarize detailed research on candidates.
Prepare data analyses and disseminate as directed.
Track and report on progress on research projects related to lateral partner recruiting.
Use experience and knowledge of legal industry and firm priorities to draft a range of materials related to research projects including reports, memos, talking points, and PowerPoint presentations.
Devise strategies to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Build proficiency in understanding and communicating about Firm practice areas and mission, conveying these priorities to stakeholders as appropriate.
Assist the Team with all aspects of the firm-wide lateral partner recruiting and integration functions.
Perform other responsibilities and special projects as directed by Global Director and/or as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / KSAs
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of two plus years of law firm experience in related role.
Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively on team projects.
Strong oral and written communication skills as well as attention to detail.
Strong research skills, with demonstrated ability to organize, track, and update large amounts of information.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically with professionals at all organizational levels of the firm.
High sense of responsibility and accountability and focus on responsiveness.
Ability to function in a fast-paced service environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Systems required: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Systems preferred: law firm and attorney databases (such as Leopard Solutions or Pirical), ViRecruit, Monday.com.
Additional Job Description
At the time of this posting, the salary range for this position in New York is $72,000 to $90,000 annually. Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the position.
