OBJECTIVE: In one of the museum’s oldest positions, the Director of Phillip Music is responsible for leading the museum’s vibrant and historical Phillips Music series — a season of 25 plus concerts that began in 1941—that brings acclaimed artists from around the globe to perform amid the unique setting of The Phillips Collection Music Room, as well as other music programs relating to the Phillips’s permanent collection and its special exhibitions.  The Director of Phillips Music also organizes a secondary series, Leading International Composers, working in direct collaboration with embassies in Washington and academic/university partners to present the work of the world’s foremost living composers.
