Vacancy ID: FAC0005090Position Summary/Description: The School of Government is seeking a Teaching Assistant Professor to specialize in civil procedure, civil trials, and contested hearings. The faculty member will be the School's point person on civil procedure issues for the State's superior court judges. As a teaching assistant professor, this faculty member will advise and teach superior court judges as well as district court judges, clerks of superior court, magistrates, and sheriffs. The person's areas of expertise will include the North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure, court-ordered attorney fees, drafting orders, and pre- and post-judgment civil proceedings.
